About Me:
My name is Dr. Katie Skoglun, and I’m thrilled to be back in the valley, serving the community that raised me! I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to explore different cities while pursuing my education, but nothing compares to seeing the familiar and friendly faces in my hometown. In my spare time, you can find me bouldering at the gym, taking walks with my partner, frequently stopping to smell the flowers and earn the trust of stray cats, cuddling with my own kitty, Pepper, or getting lost in a good book.
My Education:
After graduating from Cashmere High School in 2017 with my A.A.S. from Wenatchee Valley College, I completed my B.S. in Kinesiology at Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA, in 2019. I then attended the University of Western States in Portland, OR, and after three grueling years of study and practice, along with passing four board exams, I earned my Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2023. Additionally, I earned my certification in the Webster Technique in 2024 and offer safe and effective chiropractic care for pregnancy.
My Goal:
I discovered the benefits of chiropractic for the first time during my undergraduate years when I realized that failing to properly condition my body and allow for recovery consistently led to injuries while climbing. The chiropractors I saw not only showed me the benefits of personalized, hands-on care, but they also taught me a lot about how to listen to my body and make better decisions for myself, leading to less pain and improved performance. My goal is to be a provider who truly understands you, takes the time to listen to your concerns, and considers your unique experiences to deliver the best possible care.
My education and training as a chiropractor equip me to diagnose, manage, and treat a wide range of conditions, including neck and back pain, sciatica, carpal tunnel syndrome and other nerve issues, headaches, dizziness, chronic pain, sports and other acute injuries, extremity complaints such as knee pain, ankle instability, shoulder pain, rotator cuff injuries, and much more.
As a chiropractor, I am able to order necessary labs and imaging to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of these conditions and can refer you to specialists if needed.
You will never be left without support. If we find that chiropractic care isn’t providing the results you need, I will ensure you receive additional information and referrals to get the care that benefits you the most.
